How Jesse increased his AOV by 51%

Rendy Spotlight: Jesse Gabriel Flippen

Jesse runs a real estate media company in Northern California (CaRe-3D) — 4 photographers, ~900–1,000 shoots a year.

He did something really interesting that I wanted to share with you guys...

Jesse Gabriel Flippen

Instead of offering Rendy as just an add-on at checkout, he built it into the back of his ordering flow. Before a client even selects account info, they see the videos as a pop-up. "It's visual, it's compelling, and it immediately communicates the value." "Our average order value jumped from $305 to $461 in the last year — a massive increase driven largely by the Rendy AI videos." And once a client orders it, "they almost always order it again." Thought this was worth passing along 🙂

Our full conversation with Jesse Gabriel Flippen

Q: Tell us a bit about your background. How did you get into real estate photography?

I’ve been a professional photographer since 1999. Our focus was primarily portraits and some real estate photography. We transitioned to Real estate only in 2018, based up in Northern California. Over the years I’ve really carved out a niche specializing in virtual tours. That’s become a huge part of what we do — not just because the technology is exciting, but because buyers expect to experience a property before they ever step foot inside. Virtual tours let us create that immersive, always-open experience for agents, and it’s been a major driver of our growth. What started as traditional photography has evolved into a full media service built around helping agents stand out in a competitive market.

Q: How many shoots do you handle each year, and what does your team look like

We stay busy. Our team consists of four photographers, and together we average between 900 and 1,000 properties every year. It’s a high volume, but we’ve built our systems to handle it smoothly — from scheduling to delivery. Everyone on the team has their specialty, and that allows us to maintain consistency and quality even at scale. It also means we can turn things around quickly, which is something our clients really value.

Q: Let’s talk strategy. How do you introduce Rendy to clients? Is it an upsell or built-in? How do you position it?

We’ve integrated Rendy directly into our online ordering flow, and that’s been a game-changer. Most of our clients book through our website or mobile app, so before they even pick a date, they see a popup showcasing the Rendy AI videos. It’s visual, it’s compelling, and it immediately communicates the value. From there, they can add the Rendy AI videos for a base price of $140, which already includes a $49 bundle discount. Positioning it this way makes it feel like a premium add-on that enhances their listing — not just another line item. And honestly, it works. Since implementing this strategy, the videos have become extremely popular. What’s interesting is that once a client orders it once, they almost always order it again for future listings. It’s become one of those “must-have” pieces of marketing for them.

Q: What kind of results have you seen? Extra revenue per shoot? Total earned? Any ripple effects?

The results have been incredible. Our average order value jumped from $305 to $461 in the last year — a massive increase driven largely by the Rendy AI videos. Beyond the revenue, we’re seeing a big shift in how our clients use social media. These videos give them something eye-catching and polished to post, and that visibility creates a ripple effect. Other agents see the videos, ask who created them, and suddenly they want the same thing for their next listing. It’s really starting to snowball. The biggest win is that it elevates the agent’s brand while elevating ours at the same time. It’s rare to find an add-on that boosts revenue, saves time, and increases client engagement all at once, but this one does.

Q: What advice would you give to someone who isn’t using Rendy yet? How should they start?

If you’re not using Rendy yet, you’re leaving time and money on the table. Before Rendy, we had to manually generate each photo-to-video clip, then pull everything into editing software, build the reel, export it, and deliver it. Each video took 1–2 hours. It was effective, but it wasn’t scalable. With Rendy, the entire process takes about 10–15 minutes. That alone is a huge win. But the bigger advantage is that we can now provide clients with six videos instead of just one — and we can do it without adding stress to our workflow. So my advice is simple: treat Rendy as a value-add, not just a product. It makes your clients look amazing, it makes their listings stand out, and it opens up real potential for additional profit. If I were starting today, I’d integrate it into the ordering process just like we did and let the results speak for themselves.
