"So many of our clients prefer using their existing photos over booking a full videography session. This gives them the visual impact of video without the wait or the price tag." "Video doesn't sell the home — photos are still what move listings on the MLS. But building a brand? That starts and ends on social media, and video is the engine behind it." Our full conversation with Curtis Adams

Q: Tell us about your background — how many shoots do you handle and what does your team look like?

We started our real estate photography journey back in June 2017, and honestly, it's been one of the most rewarding adventures we've ever taken on because we've done it together. My dad and I are behind the camera capturing the photos, my nephew brings properties to life through video, and we have a dedicated team of editors who've become like family themselves. Every home we shoot, every listing we deliver, has a little piece of all of us in it. There's something really special about building something with the people you love. We're not just colleagues, we're family, and that bond shows in everything we do.

Q: How do you add Rendy — is it an upsell or built in? How do you position it?

We actually discovered Rendy through YouTube, and right away, we knew it would be a game-changer for our agents. Our upsell approach was pretty straightforward, and honestly, it worked better than we expected. We sent a direct email to our clients that auto-played as soon as they opened it. That instant "wow" moment hooked them right away. From there, we quietly bundled it into a few of our service packages and adjusted our pricing accordingly. Clients didn't necessarily notice the change in their bill, but they absolutely noticed the videos. And that's really what mattered. The results spoke for themselves, and it made the conversation around value so much easier.

Q: What results have you seen — any impact on revenue, client reactions, biggest win?

On average, we're bringing in about $100 extra per shoot just by offering this service, and clients have the option to add effects for an additional cost if they want to take it up a notch. But honestly, the biggest win has been the demand. So many of our clients prefer using their existing photos over booking a full videography session, and it makes total sense. Video is huge right now, but traditional videography is time-consuming, and the costs add up fast for agents. This gives them the visual impact of video without the wait or the price tag. For us, it's been a win on both ends. We're able to wrap up jobs faster, offer more value in our bundles, and keep our clients happy. It's one of those rare additions that just makes everything work better for everyone involved.

Q: What advice would you give to someone who isn’t using Rendy yet? How should they start?

My biggest advice to photographers? Step outside your comfort zone and start offering things you're not used to doing. When we started in 2017, video wasn't really on anyone's radar. It wasn't until 2020 that it became a genuine need, and now? It's the biggest driver on social media, hands down. Here's the thing, though, video doesn't sell the home. Let's be clear about that. Photos are still what move listings on the MLS. But building a brand? That starts and ends on social media, and video is the engine behind it. Agents need content that helps them show up consistently and look great online, and that's exactly what this delivers. What makes this so powerful is that it gives clients the ability to build their brand without ever touching video editing software or sacrificing hours of their time. It's effortless on their end, and that's a huge value add.
